Miller Outdoor Theatre presents Classic Albums Live: The Who – Who’s Next

DETAILS:  Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live takes the greatest albums and recreates them live on stage – note for note, cut for cut. As one of the greatest rock bands of all time, The Who’s Who’s Next is considered to be one of their best albums, and among the greatest albums of all time, with beloved hits like “Behind Blue Eyes” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” Released in August on 1971, this timeless rock & roll album is a favorite for new and old fans alike. This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (four per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 am-1 pm. If tickets remain at 1 pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill. The show goes on rain or shine.

Ronen will be working August 27-31 from 10 am-5 pm each day. Ronen has created more than 500 pieces in public spaces across the United States and around the world.

Notable works include Ansel Adams’s Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico; Hitoshi Nomura’s ‘moon score,’ December 19, 1975, representing an intersection of Conceptual art and stargazing; and Cortis and Sonderegger’s recreation of Buzz Aldrin’s first footprint on the moon.

Evelyn’s Park presents Sing!Sing!Sing!

DETAILS:  Sing!Sing!Sing! is a no-audition, no-commitment, live-music, popup singing group, where the audience becomes the choir. Each night, the audience is led by the Sing!Sing!Sing! (Singx3) music team to learn a 2-3 part harmony arrangement of a particular pop song. They audio and/or video tape the “masterpiece” and post it online. Singers choose the part they wish to sing; lyrics are handed out or projected for all to see.

On August 5, they’ll create a tropical summer evening by singing the harmonious vibes of a Beach Boys’ classic “Kokomo.” The event will take place inside the Evelyn’s Park Event Center.
